Sonnedix and Cox Energy have launched operations for their 160-MW Meseta de los Andes Solar Plant in Chile. Construction began in June 2021 and was completed in Spring 2023, with USD 120 million in financing provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Bank Corporation. Sonnedix has a strong presence in Chile, with 1.6 GW of renewable projects in development and 700 MW of capacity in operation.

Matrix Renewables, a TPG-backed platform, has acquired the 284-MW DC Stillhouse Solar Project in Texas. The project will start construction in 2024 and 6 GW of renewable energy and storage projects are already in the US. Recently, Matrix commissioned a 142 MW DC solar and 80 MWh battery storage project in California.

Solarpack, a Spanish developer, has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement with Shell Energy Europe, providing 105 gigawatt hours of clean energy a year. Assystem has been appointed by NEOM to conduct pre-development studies for seven potential solar photovoltaic parks in Saudi Arabia, potentially producing 20GW of energy across 420 square kilometers. Assystem will provide site assessment, environmental impact, permitting reports and more for this renewable energy project.
