  • RWE AG partners with Kerry Group PLC for green power supply from UK solar projects, supporting sustainability goals and marking RWE's first solar PPA in the UK.

German energy group RWE AG has signed a power purchase agreement with Irish food company Kerry Group PLC for the delivery of green power from two British solar projects totaling 99.8 MW. The agreement, structured as two separate financial pay-as-produced off-take deals, marks RWE's first solar PPA in the UK.

Over a 10-year period, RWE will supply Kerry Group's British subsidiary with electricity from two 49.9 MW photovoltaic parks, Cotmoor and Copse Lodge, to be located in the East Midlands of England. Construction on the Cotmoor project is set to begin later this year, with Copse Lodge Solar following in 2025. The power procurement aligns with Kerry Group's sustainability goals to reduce carbon emissions and achieve net zero by 2050.
