EDF Renewables UK announces plans to develop a 49.9-MW solar farm near St Stephen in Cornwall, South West England. 9,562 households will be served with power generated, and a community fund of GBP 20,000 per year will granted. Planting of wildflower meadows, hedgerows and trees is also part of the project. Formal consultation and a planning application to Cornwall Council to follow.

Globeleq has agreed to acquire a 75% stake in Mozambique's 41 MW Mocuba solar plant, showcasing its commitment to African power production. The company is also in the process of commissioning two additional projects with a total capacity of 400 MW.

Three Gorges Renewables is building the world's first full-scale commercially tested dual-tower CSP project in Guazhou, Gansu Province. With an investment of 4.93 billion yuan, a 100MW molten salt technology will generate solar, photovoltaic and wind power. Construction to be completed in 2023.

Empower Energies Inc. secured five distributed generation photovoltaic (PV) projects totaling 35.3 MW in upstate New York. With over 200 MW of completed clean energy projects and 1 GW in development, Empower is leading the transition to renewable energy in the region.

Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd has switched on a 87.5-MW/122.5-MWp solar power plant in Madhya Pradesh, producing 349 million kWh annually. This 651 acre facility is part of a larger 150-MW/210-MWp project, with a 25-year contract. O&M for 2 years included.

FMPA and Origis Energy partner to expand Florida Municipal Solar Project to 600 MW, providing low-cost, reliable solar power to 20 municipal electric utilities by 2026. Cost-effective for customers and greener for the environment.

NIPSCO, a NiSource Inc. subsidiary, has brought 465MW of solar parks online in Indiana. EDPR NA developed and installed them, which will bring in $101 million in tax revenue over 35 years. 75MW of battery storage capacity will accompany them, along with the retirement of the R.M. Schahfer coal-fired plant in 2025. NIPSCO's commitment to benefit customers includes going coal-free by 2028 and cutting their carbon footprint by 90% by 2030.

Solaris Energy has started construction on a 436-kW rooftop and carport solar project in Tucson, AZ, with financing, installation, and a lower electricity rate provided for the Icon Apartment Complex. This project provides shade to tenants and exemplifies Solaris Energy's commitment to sustainability. Trina Solar, a leading solar module manufacturer, has signed an 800MW supply deal with Aquila for PV panels to be used in Southern Europe. Projects are due for delivery in 2023 and 2024. More collaborations are possible in other markets.

Morocco's Masen announces pre-qualification of six consortiums to construct 400 MW solar plant in the Atlas Mountains aiming to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Leading consortiums include Cobra, EDF, Enel, Iberdrola, International Power and Acwa Power with a two-hour storage capacity. Morocco's goal is to reach 80% renewable energy by 2050, and Noor Midelt II is a major contributor to that effort.

McDonald's India (North & East) has commissioned Delhi's largest solar power plant in Najafgarh with a capacity of 3.2MW. It is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 3,822 tonnes annually and promote biofuel & biodiesel for ecological sustainability.
