LONGi announces perovskite/crystalline silicon tandem solar cells with 31.8% efficiency
- It was reported that on May 24, at the 16th (2023) International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Event (SNEC), LONGi Green Energy Technology introduced its "STAR Innovative Ecological Cooperation Platform" and also its newly accomplished performance of 31.8% for perovskite/crystalline silicon tandem solar cells based upon industrial CZ silicon wafers.

The German Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (Fraunhofer ISE) supposedly certified LONGi's conversion efficiency of 31.8% for perovskite/crystalline silicon tandem solar cells based upon business CZ silicon wafers. This was claimed to be the highest possible internationally licensed conversion effectiveness based on the superposition of perovskite on business CZ silicon wafers.
It was discussed that previously, the international reliable certification effectiveness of the tandem cells established by the LONGi R&D team went beyond 25.7% and also 29.55% in 2021 and also 2022, specifically, and was included in the "Table of China's Highest Performance of Solar Cells" released by the Photovoltaic Professional Committee of the China Renewable Resource Society that year.
