EDF Renewables energises 20-MWp floating solar PV plant in France, covering 24.5 ha with 50,000 PV panels and enough to provide electricity to 12,500 residents. Expansion plans in the region include four more solar plants for 85 MW by 2023.

BayWa r.e. and Goodman Group have agreed to build 18 MWp of rooftop solar capacity at Marl Logistics Centre, Germany's largest single-roof solar system. 43,000 modules will be installed by end of 2023. This project is part of Goodman's target to reach 400 MWp of PV installed globally by 2025. 24 projects and 60 MWp installed this year.

Equinor has launched a 60-MW solar park in Poland's Pomerania province. Spread across 55 ha, Zagorzyca features 110,000 solar panels and is estimated to generate 61 GWh/year. Equinor's Danske Commodities is marketing the solar farm's power to the Polish market. The company is also developing Lipno with expected completion in 2024. Plus, more onshore renewables and battery storage opportunities in Poland.

SKF, a leading Swedish bearing manufacturer, has partnered with Enel to agree a 15-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) from a solar project in Spain. Offering 260GWh/year of renewable electricity, the VPPA will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support renewable energy growth.

Pacific Energy has been awarded a contract to integrate 62MW of clean energy into an existing power system at an Australian gold mine. The hybrid power system will reduce emissions by 50% and feature in-house control systems, BESS, HV Switch Room & PV ring main units. Works start in July 2021, completion in early 2025.

This year, a $2.4 million solar park at the Pieve Emanuele, Italy production facility is set to help decarbonize operations and reduce carbon emissions by 1,450 tons annually. Surplus electricity generated outside the plant will be used by locals. Set to start operating by the end of this year.

Duke Energy Corp has signed a 20-year contract for a 199 MW solar project to generate enough green energy to power 35,000 homes. As part of the Indiana Integrated Resource Plan, Duke Energy is moving towards a cleaner energy future with 2,218 MW of solar, 450 MW of solar-plus-storage, and 6,200 MW of wind power.

Equinor has commissioned its second Polish solar plant, Zagórzyca. Developed and operated by the Polish renewable power producer Wento, the 60MW facility is part of Equinor's 1.6GW solar pipeline and is supported by Danske Commodities' electricity sales. 500 people were involved in the construction of the 55 hectare plant. Equinor's commitment to Poland's energy transition is evident.

Enel X and ADR to deliver a 22MW solar plant to Leonardo da Vinci Airport, Rome, by 2024, accompanied by a 10MWh storage system and covering an area of 340,000 square metres. A key part of ADR’s goal for zero CO2 emissions by 2030. A significant step to mitigate climate change and relaunch the Italian airport sector.

Zabka Group has signed a 10-year PPA with Modus Asset Management, supplying 50 GWh of electricity annually from 65 MW of solar parks. The agreement marks Modus Asset Management's entry into the Polish PPA market and will help Zabka reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 25% and carbon intensity by 70% by 2026.

Ilmatar, a Nordic developer, has secured land for a proposed 350MW solar farm in Grums, Sweden. Working with local landowners, the farm will be one of the largest in Sweden, using timber forest damaged by bark beetles. Christian Gustafsson, Ilmatar's CEO, looks to expand renewable energy for Sweden with the project. Anders Bergenheim, a local landowner, is excited about the collaboration.

Mytilineos SA has secured a 40-MW solar power purchase agreement (PPA) in Queensland, Australia. With the help of SmartestEnergy Australia, a unit of Marubeni Corp, the Kingaroy solar farm is under construction and expected to be operational by 2021. Mytilineos has 11.9 GW of assets in development globally, including 376 MW in Australia.

Alight has signed a PPA with Axfood for the largest solar park in Sweden, unlocking non-recourse project financing. SEB will provide the debt financing to build the 64MW park, which will be operational in 2024 and feature initiatives to promote biodiversity.

Aura Power has achieved two major milestones - a 200-MW/800-MWh BESS in Italy and a 49.9-MW solar park in England - to power 35,000 homes & 21% of East Devon households. It also has 1-GW battery & 80-MW solar projects in the pipeline.

Soltech and Solgrid have entered a partnership to develop and operate 300 MW of ground-mount solar projects in Southern Sweden. Solgrid is investing SEK 2 billion with potential orders of SEK 1 billion for project development. Applications are submitted and construction is expected in 3-4 years.
