Tender for 350 kW Rooftop Solar System Issued by Cochin Port Trust

• The Cochin Port Trust has issued a tender for the commissioning of 350 kW rooftop solar power systems on various buildings of the trust under the RESCO model.

The Cochin Port Trust has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for the commissioning of 350 kW grid-connected rooftop solar power systems on various buildings of the trust under the RESCO model.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the site survey, design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems. The project developers will have a period of 150 days to complete the work on the installation of the project, after which they will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the plants for a period of 25 years.

The last date for bid submission is January 29, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1.57 crore and all bidders will be required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 3.15 lakh along with their bids. Additionally, a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) of Rs 15.7 lakh should be furnished by the successful bidder after the issue of Letter of Award by Cochin Port Trust.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidders should have installed and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar PV power project having a capacity of not less than 250 kW which should have been commissioned at least six months prior to techno-commercial bid opening date.

Financially, the annual turnover of the bidder should be Rs 5 crore per MW in any one of the last 3 financial years or, the net worth should be equal to or greater than the value calculated at a rate of Rs 3 crore per MW of capacity offered by the bidder in its bid.
