- The Indian power corporation is deploying more capacity at a gigantic 5-gigawatt Gujarat solar farm.
Tata Power Renewable, a branch of India-based energy colossus Tata Power, has been awarded by the energy utility located in Gujarat for a new 50-megawatt photovoltaic project within Dholera Solar Park.
Tata is currently developing 250 megawatts of PV capacity at Dholera, a huge 5-megawatt solar farm which was approved for deployment in spring last year.
The energy generated will be delivered to electrical company GUVNL according to a 25-year-term PPA. The order was won during the June auction. The facility has to be completed no later than 15 months after the deal signing.
Tata Power has proudly announced of the 50-megawatt Gujarat solar order it was awarded. The corporation expresses its gratitude to government of the state as well as GUVNL management for the opportunity granted. Supplemented by the above, total capacity being developed in Gujarat is going to reach 400 megawatts. Tata claims to be happy to participate in implementation of India’s aspiration towards renewable energy through PV power generation.
