Sunway to obtain EPC contracts for 100-MW of Malaysian solar

  • Malaysian business Sunway Construction Group Bhd (SunCon) on Monday introduced it has accepted Letters of Intent (LoI) for the construction of 2 50-MW solar projects, secured in Malaysia's 4th large-scale solar (LSS4) tenders.

For both projects, the firm is anticipated to execute the design, engineering, purchase, construction, testing and also commissioning. The agreements, if finalised, will certainly contribute to SunCon's profits in 2022.

The LoI for one of the projects has actually been issued by GBS Suria Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gopeng Bhd. The overall contract amount there is MYR 200 million (USD 47.6 m/EUR 42.1 m).
