Spain's Acciona creating 130.2-MW PV project in Chile

- Spanish renewable resource and also framework group Acciona SA (BME: ANA) intends to construct a 130.2-MW rotating existing (AC) solar park in the Chilean area of Antofagasta.

Acciona's Chilean unit today offered the environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Pedro de Valdivia solar (PV) project, mentioning that it intends to spend USD 60 million (EUR 50.5 m) in the scheme.
According to files sent to the Chilean environmental examination service (SEA), the 130.2-MW/ 140.049-MWp in straight current (DC) plant will certainly feature around 307,800 PV modules.
The project site will use up some 210 hectares (518.9 acres) in the commune of Maria Elena.
Acciona intends to start construction in October 2022 as well as finish the project in 14 months, according to the EIS.
