SJVN wins 100-MW solar project in India's Gujarat

- Indian power manufacturer SJVN Ltd (BOM:533206) revealed today it has actually won a 100-MW solar project in the state of Gujarat.
The firm participated in an open bidding process and was awarded the quoted ability of 100 MW at INR 2.80 per kWh.
SJVN will develop and construct the solar park at an approximated price of INR 4.5 billion (USD 60m/EUR 50.8 m) and then run the facility, offering its output to regional firm GUVNL under a 25-year power acquisition agreement (PPA).
When appointed, which is expected to occur by March 2022, the solar energy plant will be able to generate some 244 million kWh of electricity annually.
