Sembcorp to develop 1 GWp of solar plus storage in Indonesia with regional partners
- Singapore's Sembcorp Industries Ltd (SGX: U96) has teamed up with two Indonesian companies to develop 1 GWp of solar power in Indonesia for the regional market and export to Singapore.

The Singapore-based energy and urban solutions carrier on Monday claimed it has signed a special joint growth agreement with Batam's utility firm PT PLN Batam as well as Indonesian renewables developer PT Trisurya Mitra Bersama (Suryagen) to develop a huge solar-plus-storage project in Indonesia's Batam, Bintan as well as Karimun (BBK) location.
The project will include concerning 1 GWp of solar capability as well as a large energy storage space system. It will provide eco-friendly power to the neighborhood communities and also is recommended to export power via subsea cables to Singapore.
