Romania's Hidroelectrica to build 45 MWp solar plant in Braila

  • Romanian hydro power producer Hidroelectrica prepares to construct a 45MWp solar plant in the eastern area of Braila and mount 20 photovoltaic (PV) panels on the roofing systems of 20 of its hydropower plants (HPP), according to information released in Romania's digital system for public procurement, SEAP.

Hidroelectrica is welcoming companies to send offers for feasibility studies for both jobs, two tender notices published on Tuesday as well as Wednesday on SEAP revealed.

The solar plant, which is approximated to produce 56 GWh every year, will certainly be located on a 55 hectares land plot in Tudor Vladimirescu commune, according to the records connected to the notification.

The contract for the feasibility research study deserves 274,000 de bouquet ($65,500/ 55,300 euro) and also the deadline for submitting deals is October 11.

In an additional tender notice, Hidroelectrica is welcoming interested business to submit deals for expediency studies for setting up photovoltaic panels on 20 of its HPPs located between and reduced market of the Olt river.
