NextEnergy Capital Fund Expands with 24-MW UK Solar Park

NextPower UK ESG, managed by NextEnergy Capital, has activated the 24-MW Pentlow solar facility in Essex, increasing its operating capacity to 139 MW. This marks the fund's third operating solar asset out of a portfolio of 10 UK utility-scale solar assets totaling 497 MW, with 75% operational or under construction. The fund deployed capital shortly after its first close, acquiring the 75-MW Llanwern and 40-MW Worcestershire solar parks.

NPUK aims to reach 2 GW of capacity when fully deployed and has secured GBP 625 million towards its GBP 1 billion hard cap. The fund continues to fundraise and invest in new-build solar projects with power purchase agreements, contributing to the growth of renewable energy in the UK.
