Greek industrial group Mytilineos SA has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the 373-MW Cleve Hill solar project in the UK. The GBP-114.1-million (USD 138.7m/EUR 131.9m) deal was awarded to the company’s Energy and Metals division by British investment manager Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners. The project is expected to be operational in early 2025 and generate around 374,000 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power 100,000 homes. The project was acquired by Quinbrook in September 2021 and won a 15-year contract in the UK’s fourth allocation round of the contract for difference (CfD) tender scheme. Mytilineos has built 439 MW of solar parks under EPC contracts in the UK.
