Clenera LLC, a subsidiary of Israeli renewables developer Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd, announced their 105-MW DC Apex Solar project in Beaverhead County, Montana, is now online. The project was delivered on schedule and is the first joint project completed by Clenera since their acquisition by Enlight in August 2021. It is expected to produce enough electricity to cover the annual needs of 13,500 households and will deliver its generation to NorthWestern Energy under a 20-year power purchase agreement. Financing for the project was provided by Bank of America and NORD/LB for construction and Huntington National Bank for long-term financing via sale and leaseback tax equity financing. Clenera is also developing more projects in Montana, including a scheme immediately adjacent to Apex.
