Maxeon Solar Technologies recently held an official ribbon cutting for its expanded solar panel manufacturing plant in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. The $70 million investment has increased its annual production capacity to 1.8 GW, with an additional 700 MW capacity coming from its Ensenada plant. The purpose of the expansion is to provide a tariff-free solar panel supply for the US market. Maxeon also plans to launch a significant manufacturing hub in the US, but nothing has been officially announced yet.
What is Maxeon's US Manufacturing Plan?
