The company already has a 700-MW solar panel campus in Mountain Iron, Minnesota, which is set to be upgraded from 150 to 300 MW by October this year. To build the new Minnesota factory, Heliene will invest $145 million and expects it to begin producing modules in 2024 and cells in 2025.
