Spanish renewables developer Grenergy Renovables SA has secured EUR 175 million in green financing from Banco Santander, MUFG, and Natixis to build two solar farms in Spain. The funds will be used to construct a 250 MW solar project in Almeria and a 47 MW project in Guadalajara, with a total capacity of close to 300 MW.
The Tabernas project in Almeria will generate around 466.6 GWh per year, while the Jose Cabrera project in Guadalajara will produce an estimated 90.5 GWh annually. Both projects are set to be sold to Allianz SE and other institutional investors in the first half of 2025.
