Greencells turn on 65-MWp solar park in Hungary
- German solar developer and also EPC providers Greencells has connected a 65-MWp solar farm to the grid in Hungary, bringing its set up capacity in the Central European country to 345 MWp.
The solar park is located in the Szuegy municipality in north Hungary and benefits from a 25-year feed-in tariff, Greencells stated on Wednesday.
With its 121,000 modules, the nuclear power plant is expected to create greater than 80,000 MWh annually which is enough to provide some 30,000 households.
The project was financed by the neighborhood subsidiary of Italian lending institution Unicredit SpA (BIT: UCG). Greencells kept in mind that it is preparing to increase the partnership with UniCredit BankHungary as well as safe and secure funding for more projects in Hungary totalling 132 MWp as well as schemes of 1,437 MWp in Italy and also 145 MWp in Romania.
"The commissioning of the solar park in Szuegy is another crucial action in the expansion of our project advancement business, in which many projects are now entering the building and also operation phase," claimed Greencells' chief executive Andreas Hoffmann.
Aside from the plant in Szuegy, Greencells is developing more solar farms with a combined capacity of 201 MWp across Hungary.
