- FRV lights up Queensland with innovative solar-plus-storage park, powering over 1,680 homes annually. More hybrid projects on the horizon in Australia.
FRV, a global renewables developer, has launched a solar-plus-storage park in Queensland, Australia, marking its first hybrid project in the country. The Dalby site, located north of Brisbane, consists of 2.45 MW of solar arrays and a 2.5 MWp/5 MWh battery, providing enough electricity for over 1,680 homes annually. The project was designed by Spanish solar platform Gransolar and is connected to the grid.
FRV Australia, a joint venture between Abdul Latif Jameel Energy and OMERS Infrastructure, is also working on additional hybrid projects in Australia. Two battery storage projects in Victoria, the 100-MW Terang and 250-MW Gnarwarre, are set to begin construction in the second half of 2024.
