Fortum to develop biggest solar farm in Russia

• 116MW project in the south of the country will be fully commissioned in H2 2022

Finnish energy business Fortum and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) are partnering on a 116MW solar energy plant in Russia, which will certainly be the country's largest when complete.

The project, in Kalmykia in southern Russia, will certainly be developed by a joint endeavor between Fortum as well as RDIF, which already has 350MW of wind power plants in the Ulyanovsk and also Rostov regions.
