Final panel mounted at 2-GW Al Dhafra solar plant in Abu Dhabi
- The last photovoltaic or pv (PV) module has been installed at the 2-GW Al Dhafra solar energy project in Abu Dhabi.

Greater than 3 million modules have been placed at the site, which is poised to end up being the world's largest single-site solar power plant, and the team is now preparing yourself for commissioning, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, better known as Masdar, tweeted on Monday.
The project is being created by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and Masdar, which together possess 60%, in collaboration with France's EDF as well as China's JinkoPower which hold 40%.
The huge project, which got to financial close at the end of 2020, will supply its power to Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC). It is expected to generate sufficient power for about 160,000 homes as well as save 2.4 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
