Engie, Ramery to install solar farms at post-industrial sites in France

  • French varied group Ramery on Thursday announced a collaboration with renewables solid Engie Green to collectively work on the development of renewable energy projects in France's northern most area Hauts-de-France.

The partners will certainly concentrate primarily on converting disused commercial sites to have the areas host solar farms, Ramery claimed.

The potential for projects is approximated at 10s of megawatts, including 25 MW of currently safeguarded capacity. The city of Lille, communes of Bethune-Bruay-Artois-Lys-Romane, Cambrai and also Grand Calais Terres & Mers, are several of the chosen areas for the advancement.

The first project will certainly take the partners to the commune of Violaines, where they prepare to construct a ground-mounted solar farm at a site of a previous thermal nuclear power plant that Ramery team converted into a waste sorting and recuperation center, the statement reviews.
