Enel X to set up 3.5 MW of on-site solar for Smeg in Italy

- Enel X, part of Italian energy group Enel SpA (BIT: ENEL), will certainly develop two solar self-consumption systems totalling 3.5 MW for fellow Italian house appliances manufacturer Smeg.

Enel X, which provides advanced energy options, will certainly set up one solar PV system of 1.9 MW at Smeg's headquarters in Guastalla, the province of Reggio Emilia, and one 1.6-MW array at its factory in Bonferraro, Verona.
The projects will make use of a total amount of 9,217 JA solar PV modules furnished with power optimisers, the Enel Group stated. Both systems will produce some 4 GWh of power per year, and aid Smeg's facilities satisfy 25% of their electrical power requires with own solar energy manufacturing, according to journalism launch.
Enel X will also offer upkeep services for the solar plants for 5 years.
