Eko Agro Group sets sights on agri-photovoltaics in Italy
- AgTech professional Eko Agro Group (EAG) has signed two deals that will permit it to step into the agri-photovoltaics market in Italy.

The firm, described as a farm-to-fork producer, will certainly partner with power distributor RWE Renewables Italia on the growth of 35 agri-photovoltaic websites. The dual-use plants will certainly be built on concerning 850 hectares (2,100 acres) of agricultural land in several areas of Italy. When functional, the solar systems are expected to generate up to 700 MWh of clean energy.
Additionally, EAG has joined forces with Italian agricultural organisation RheAura OP to produce a functional framework for the development of agri-photovoltaic parks in suitable areas had by RheAura's affiliates. With this collaboration, EAG aims to benefit from RheAura's network and also farming experience.
EAG is bulk owned by Swiss ESG financier ESGTI AG. Business aims to combine smart farming innovations with ancient farming strategies in order to achieve a sustainable technique throughout the entire supply chain.
