Clearway breaks ground on 75 MW of solar projects in Hawaii
- Clearway Energy Group on Thursday launched building of 2 solar projects in Hawaii that have a complete capability of 75 MW and are combined with a combined 300 MWh of storage.

Found in Mililani as well as Waiawa on the island of Oahu, the 39-MW Mililani I and also 36-MW Waiawa projects represent an investment of USD 280 million (EUR 235m), the firm said. Building works are led by construction firm Moss, with completion expected next year.
Both sites contribute to 3 solar projects that Clearway finished in Hawaii in 2019. The five centers with a mixed 185 MW of ability will serve Hawaiian Electric's grid, generating sufficient power for over 45,500 regional residences a year.
Hawaiian Electric president as well as president Scott Seu said Clearway's 3 functional projects assisted the utility attain a sustainable portfolio requirement of 35% in 2020.
