Celsia finishes 2.2-MW rooftop PV plant for Colombian port
- Colombian power firm Celsia SA (CLB: CELSIA) announced on Friday it has taken into operation a 2.2-MW roof solar photovoltaic (PV) system.
The solar power plant is located on the roofs of the International Logistics Distribution Centre of Colombia's Port of Cartagena.
Including 6,000 solar panels, the PV park will certainly be able to satisfy 10% of the port's electric demand. Celsia anticipates the brand-new solar array to be able to create 2.98 GWh of tidy electrical power per year, sufficient to counter 1,101 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) exhausts throughout its life process.
