Brazilian energy utility Celesc announced Thursday that it is proceeding with the construction of three solar farms, located in the southern Santa Catarina state, with a combined capacity of 5 MW. The total investment of the projects is estimated to be BRL 22 million. The plants will be leased to medium-sized consumers by Celesc, who will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance. The energy generated by the solar parks will be credited to the consumer's bill.
