- Experience clean energy with Akuo Energy's 1.2MW Hamaha Solar Park in Mayotte, a French archipelago. Offsetting 1,100 tonnes of CO2, the facility provides energy to 1,700 people and a 3.5MWh battery storage system for peak demand. Akuo Energy has 20+ GW of projects in the pipeline.
Akuo Energy has opened a 1.2-MW solar park with an integrated energy storage facility in Mayotte, a French archipelago in the Indian Ocean. The Hamaha project, built at the site of a former landfill, will generate enough electricity for almost 1,700 people and offset 1,100 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. The 3.5MWh battery energy storage system will provide three hours of discharge capacity to the grid during peak demand periods. The project was awarded in a French government tender for solar capacity in non-interconnected zones. Akuo has 1.7 GW of renewables capacity in operation or under construction, plus 20 GW of projects in the pipeline.
What Benefits Does Akuo's 1.2 MW Solar Park in Mayotte Bring?
- Akuo's 1.2 MW Solar Park in Mayotte provides clean, renewable energy for 1,700 people.
- The integrated 3.5MWh battery energy storage system provides up to three hours of discharge capacity to the grid during peak demand periods.
- The project helps offset 1,100 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.
- The project was awarded in a French government tender for solar capacity in non-interconnected zones.
- Akuo has 1.7 GW of renewables capacity in operation or under construction, plus 20 GW of projects in the pipeline.
