Adani switches on 450-MW wind-solar hybrid complex in Rajasthan
- India's Adani Green Energy Ltd (BOM:541450) has actually commissioned a 450-MW hybrid wind as well as solar power plant in the north Indian state of Rajasthan, the renewables arm of India's Adani Group claimed today.
The hybrid power generator is composed of 420 MW of solar and also 105 MW of wind capacity. It will operate under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), priced at INR 2.67 (USD 0.033/ EUR 0.031) per kWh.
Adani Green stated the new facility makes it the world's largest wind-solar hybrid power designer with an operational hybrid power generation capacity of 1,440 MW. In May, it brought online India's first hybrid power plant of 390 MW and then the firm activated the globe's largest co-located hybrid power plant of 600 MW in September. The 3 hybrid facilities are all located at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.
