What is Solar collector?
A device used to collect solar energy and convert it into heat. An example is a solar collector in solar water heating systems. Commonly, a solar thermal collector converts up to 85 percent of solar energy into heat. Solar collectors should not be confused with PV modules. The heat absorbed by a solar collector can be intended for either immediate or later use. The application range includes space heaters, domestic hot water systems, as well as spa, hot tub and swimming pool heaters.
