What is Potential of PV?

Annually, the atmosphere of Earth, land and water masses absorb around 3,850 thousand exajoules of solar energy. In 2002, there was more energy obtained from the sun per hour than the globe consumes during a year. Annually, biomass captures around 3 thousand exajoules of energy through photosynthesis. There is about twice as much solar energy incident on Earth’s surface as will ever be generated from all the fossil energy sources taken together. It is apparent that renewable sources are sufficient to meet the global energy demand.
