ACEN has increased funding for the 133.5-MWp Cagayan North Solar Power project in the Philippines, part of a larger scheme planned to be operational in 2024. The new loan agreement will help build up the country's solar energy capacity and provide clean and renewable energy for the Philippines.

Tokyo Gas Co Ltd has switched on a 21.9-MW solar farm in Tochigi prefecture, eastern Japan. This is the first large-scale solar power plant managed by Tokyo Gas that covers an area of 47 hectares and was constructed by Daiwa Energy Co Ltd and Watanabe Sato Co Ltd. Tokyo Gas also plans to invest in 6 GW of renewable energy capacity in Japan and overseas by 2030.

Enel Green Power Romania has successfully powered up its 63-MW Lumina solar park in Romania.
