Yellowbud Solar: Amazon Powers Ohio

National Grid Renewables, a subsidiary of National Grid plc, has commissioned the Amazon Solar Farm Ohio - Yellowbud. Located in Ross and Pickaway Counties, the 274-MW solar farm spans about 2,000 acres and is connected to the 138-kV Biers Run-Circleville transmission line. Amazon has an executed power purchase agreement (PPA) with the developer for the output of Yellowbud. During operations, the solar farm is expected to generate USD 90 million in tax revenue, jobs, landowner income and charitable initiatives. Amazon has expressed its commitment to Ohio, where it is scaling up renewable energy projects and powering operations with 100% renewable energy.
