- Spain-based solar power designer X-Elio on Tuesday launched the building and construction of its 17.4-MW solar PV project around Murcia, southeastern Spain.

The firm claimed that it is spending over EUR 10 million (USD 11.4 m) in the brand-new development, which it named Fuente Alamo V y VI, recommending that the solar farm will include 2 areas. The site lies in the community of Fuente Alamo.
The project also notes X-Elio's return to Murcia where it commissioned its initial solar farm back in 2007.
X-Elio said it would employ more than 50 locals to deal with the building. Based on images from the ground-breaking event, Eiffage Energia, a subsidiary of French civil engineering group Eiffage SA (EPA: FGR), was hired as the structure contractor for the project.
