Voltalia starts 140MW PV build in Albania
- Karavasta project is expected to be commissioned in the second half of 2023

Voltalia has actually begun building and construction of the 140MW Karavasta solar farm in Albania.
The developer won a 30-year concession for Karavasta in 2020 from the Albanian Council of Ministers following a competitive bidding process.
Karavasta will sell 50% of the electrical energy via a 15-year sales contract to the Albanian public operator, while the continuing to be production will certainly be sold with long-term contracts to personal drivers.
The plant is expected to be commissioned in the 2nd half of 2023.
Voltalia chief executive Sébastien Clerc said: "We are specifically happy to sustain the Albanian energy change.
