Voltalia Sells 420MW Brazilian Solar Project to Newave Energia

Voltalia, a developer and operator of wind, solar and energy storage projects, has sold a 420MW solar project in Brazil to Newave Energia, a joint venture between Gerdau and Newave FIP. The project is located in Minas Gerais, in the south-eastern region of the country. Newave Energia will also benefit from Voltalia's construction and maintenance services for the electrical infrastructure. The total potential capacity of Arinos, the complex in which the project is located, is over 1.8GW, with the divested project being the largest. Voltalia is expecting to sell more than 100MW of projects and services by the end of the year.
