Voltalia brings 8-MW solar park online in France

• French eco-friendly power plants operator Voltalia SA (EPA: VLTSA) on Thursday revealed the commissioning of an 8.16-MW solar park in the southeastern region of Provence Alpes Cote dAzur.

The Carriere des Plaines plant is half outfitted with crystalline photovoltaic or pv (PV) panels, while the other half is comprised of concentrator PV modules. Its output is anticipated to be sufficient to cover the power intake of greater than 4,560 individuals.

Carriere des Plaines is found on a previous quarry in the municipality of Alleins, Bouches-du-Rhone department. The PV park has a 20-year electricity supply agreement and a grazing agreement which enables the land to be shown to a neighborhood lamb breeder, the designer said.
