Volt Energy signs 250-MW solar PPA with Microsoft

- African-American solar designer Volt Energy LLC introduced on Wednesday that it will supply electrical power to software program giant Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ: MSFT) from over 250 MW of utility-scale solar power creating capacity.

Both parties have participated in a power purchase agreement (PPA) which straightens with Microsoft's objective to resource 100% of its energy from renewables by 2025.
The pair have accepted spend a section of the income from the brand-new agreement in community effect funding campaigns. No better details were given when it come to the regards to the PPA.
"With Volt Energy, we are able to scale the impact of our renewable energy projects by interacting to attend to ecological equity problems, ranging from renewable resource accessibility to labor force training among underserved city and country communities," claimed Noelle Walsh, CVP, Cloud Operations + Innovation, Microsoft.
