- French renewable resource manufacturer Valeco, owned by German power firm EnBW AG (ETR: EBK), has recently started construction deal with the biggest floating solar energy plant in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine area.

The Montpellier-based firm is building the 19.8-MW Clave solar energy system in Durance, where it currently has various other renewable energy projects.
The Clave scheme involves the installation of almost 46,000 solar (PV) panels on a 28-hectare artificial lake. The particular lake was developed as part of the sandpit removal task of Belgian industrial materials miner Sibelco, which owns the land.
The floating solar plant will have the capacity to produce sufficient electrical power to provide some 12,700 inhabitants.
