Uzbekistan's Solar Ambition: ACWA & CEEC EPC Deal

ACWA Power and China Energy International Group will jointly develop the Tashkent solar site with a capacity of around 50 megawatts. This plant is set to be the largest solar project in the Central Asian country to date. The project is expected to be operational in 2024.
ACWA Power and Energy China Group Corporation (CEEC) have signed an EPC contract for a solar project in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The 50 megawatt project is set to be the largest solar project in the Central Asian country to date and is expected to be operational by 2024. Through the PPA previously signed in March 2023, ACWA Power and the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (NEGU) and the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade will provide clean and sustainable energy to Uzbekistan. This project shows the commitment of both organisations to advancing sustainable energy solutions.
