Uzbekistan launches 500MW solar RfP
- IFC is functioning as a lead deal advisor to the federal government for a tender for 3 project sites

Ministry of Energy as well as National Grid of Uzbekistan has launched a Request for Proposal (RfP) stage of a tender to select independent power manufacturers to create solar PV plants in Uzbekistan.
International Finance Corporation is serving as a lead purchase advisor to the Government of Uzbekistan for the tender.
The tender consists of 3 sites, 250MW in Bukhara, 150MW in Namangan and also 100MW in Khorezm with a complete capacity of 500MW.
The winning developers are expected to design, finance, operate, keep, and also move the solar PV plants.
For Bukhara site integration of the battery energy storage system has been included right into the project scope.
Complying with the shortlisting of possible bidders for the three PV projects in Bukhara, Namangan, and also Khorezm regions, announced on 30 March 2022, the RfP is being shown to 11 prequalified bidders, including Masdar (UAE), Alarko Holding (Turkey), GD Power consortium (China), ACWA Power (Saudi Arabia) and also Solarpack Corporación Tecnológica (Spain).
