United States strong EDP given clear-cut giving in for 160-MW solar project in Dominican Republic
- US renewables developer Energy Development Partners (EDP) has gotten a definitive concession to build and also run a 160-MW/200.2-MWp solar farm in the Dominican Republic.

The company, with local arm EDP Energias Renovables Dominicana SA, signed the concession agreement with the Dominican Republic's national energy commission CNE this week, both celebrations revealed.
The giving in is restricted to a duration of 25 years after the finalizing of the contract, it is mentioned in CNE's resolution to provide the giving in, although the commission said in its press release that the term is 30 years.
The file offers EDP the right to construct its Bani solar farm in the namesake community in Peravia district. Bani Solar is currently the largest solar facility authorized in the Dominican Republic, EDP CEO Frank A. Epps said in a LinkedIn message after the finalizing ceremony.
EPD is based in Providence, Rhode Island. Its investor and partner is German solar power developer ib vogt GmbH.
