Trina Solar's president, Steven Zhu, emphasized the importance of safeguarding their technology and intellectual property, stating that their patents and compliant supply chain are crucial for success in solar manufacturing in the U.S. The company's 5-GW facility in Texas is set to come online this year. In addition to Trina Solar, Maxeon has also been protecting its intellectual property related to TOPCon manufacturing by filing patent infringement claims against Canadian Solar, REC, and Qcells.
