Toyota unveils 30-MW solar project at engine plant in Alabama
- Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor Corp (TYO:7203) on Wednesday unveiled a USD-49-million (EUR 44.9 m) plan to develop a 30-MW solar power center at its engine plant in Huntsville, North Alabama.

In a statement on Wednesday, the team said that Toyota Alabama and also Toyota Tsusho America Inc (TAI) have entered into a power acquisition agreement (PPA) for this project with Huntsville Utilities.
Building and construction work is set to begin this spring while commissioning is scheduled for the summer of 2024. TAI's Energy Infrastructure Solutions team supervised of the project's advancement and will now manage the building process. Post-completion, it will have as well as operate the center.
