TotalEnergies group bags 260 MW of S African power off-take deals

The events have authorized two power purchase agreements (PPAs) with South African power and also chemicals firm Sasol Ltd (JSE: SOL) and French industrial gases firm Air Liquide SA (EPA: AI), the latter claimed on Tuesday.

The lasting power deliveries will certainly go to Sasol's Secunda site where Air Liquide operates the oxygen production facility. To meet their commitment, TotalEnergies and Mulilo will develop a 140-MW wind farm as well as a 120-MW solar park, planning to bring them online in 2025.

The PPAs begin the heels of 220 MW of power off-take contracts for the Secunda site checked in January with Enel Green Power, the renewables arm of Italian electrical utility Enel health facility (BIT: ENEL). They are aligned with Air Liquide's and Sasol's commitment for 900 MW of renewable resource procurement for Secunda.

According to the statement, arrangements for extra PPAs are in progress.
