Technique Solaire buys 6.2-MWp solar plant in India

- French independent eco-friendly power producer Technique Solaire announced on Wednesday it has completed the purchase of a 6.2-MWp ground-mounted solar (PV) plant in India.

The deal, formalised in December 2022, concerns a solar plant in the state of Uttarakhand, in the north of the country. The asset gain from a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with local utility Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL).
Operational since 2017, the PV park can generating 7,500 MWh of green electrical power per year, sufficient to fulfill the intake of 32,000 inhabitants.
The business now has a portfolio of 74.5 MWp in India, including four ground-mounted and also two rooftop installations. Its objective is to run several hundred MWp by the end of 2024, according to Technique Solaire's India Director, Manu Bishnoi.
