Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd has won a contract to build a 400-MW solar park in Rajasthan, India. The order, valued at over INR 5.5 billion, was placed by a private renewable independent power producer. In addition to constructing the PV plant, SWRE will also handle the construction of a 220-kV switchyard.
Details about the solar farm's location and commissioning timeline were not disclosed. This latest contract adds to SWREL's current quarter orders totaling more than INR 9 billion. The company has a global track record of installing 19.4 GWp of solar and energy storage capacity, as well as managing the operation and maintenance of 8.2 GWp of PV parks.
