Statkraft's German Solar-Battery Power Plant

- Statkraft has been awarded a contract to build a 47 MW solar power plant and 16 MW battery storage facility in Zerbst, Germany. This project, expected to commence in summer 2025, will provide energy to power around 14,000 households. Part of Statkraft's ambitious growth targets, the firm also secured a 500 MW offshore wind project in Ireland.
Statkraft has been awarded a contract by the German Federal Network Agency to build a 47 MW solar power plant and 16 MW battery storage facility in Zerbst, Germany. The project, which will provide energy to power around 14,000 households, is expected to commence operations in summer 2025. It is part of Statkraft’s ambitious growth targets in Germany. In May 2023, the firm also secured a 500 MW offshore wind project in Ireland in partnership with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
