- Norwegian power company Statkraft A/S stated today that it has begun developing a 55-MWp solar farm in the Spanish region of Extremadura.

It stated the project, Talayuela Solar II, will certainly require an investment of more than EUR 34 million (USD 35.7 m). Building works are expected to last some 10 months.
The Talayuela Solar II project was established by Statkraft in partnership with Spanish firms Genia Global Energy Solutions as well as Extrepronatur.
The new facility will also become a sister plant to the nearby 300-MWp Talayuela Solar, which was Statkraft's first project in Extremadura. Germany's Encavis AG (ETR: ECV) took control of full ownership of the very first Talayuela in late December 2021.
